Disability Etiquette: Making that two-way street accessible
Etiquette is a standard of behavior in which one acts to reduce the chance of being socially offensive. When it comes to interacting with someone with a disability, what are the standards? And, how should we expect them to behave toward us? This presentation examines the “two-way street” nature of etiquette and offers new ways of thinking about a potentially awkward interactions that will help prevent head-on collisions between able-bodied and disabled members of the community.
